GENERAL GUIDELINES AGAINST SPREAD OF COVID -19

  1. If guests from countries that GOI has restricted entry and who need compulsory Quarantine suddenly arrive unannounced, they will not be allowed into the RC, even if they are children or relative of the resident. RMs to find out such cases and the matter will be reported to District Medical authorities and to VP (Services and Care)/Head Services.
    1. Vendors will not be permitted in the Community as far as possible. Exception to be decided by the RM but all precautions would be taken
    1. Milk and newspaper vendors: Check the body temperature of the vendor and for any signs of cough or breathlessness. They must wear mask and gloves and deliver the milk and newspapers at the Gate. Milk sachets to be washed with water by staff & to be distributed later.
    1. Anyone entering the retirement community will be offered hand sanitizer and made to clean the hands diligently.
    1. If anyone comes to the gate to deliver any item, it will be left at the designated place (well disinfected) at the gate. The resident would be contacted over phone and asked to come to the Main Gate and collect the item. This is applicable to Swiggy, Zomato, Big Basket, Amazon and any such e commerce platforms. If the resident is not in the RC, the items will be at the Gate and handed over accordingly.

FOR RESIDENTS:

  • Personal Hygiene is of paramount importance
  • Wash hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water
  • Always carry and use 75% alcohol-based hand sanitizer especially before touching your Mouth, Ears, Eyes and Nose (MEN) and other parts of your face.
  • Use Hand Sanitizer after closing the main door when going out and on your return. Better to spray on the lock/doorknob.
  • After entering the house, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water (20 sec)
  • Avoid going to crowded places like bazars, malls, religious places or congregations.
  • If you go out for walks, meals or for any other purpose, after locking the door, use hand sanitizer. Exercise indoors in case of apartments.
  • Call the Resident Health Manager immediately on the onset of any of the symptoms – fever, sore throat, cough or breathlessness. RHM/Nurse would also come and check the symptoms and take action appropriately. Please do not PANIC.
  • Go into immediate self-quarantine until medical assistance checks you out. RHM would take the medical parameters and ours Senior Medical Officer (through Telemedicine) would check out your symptoms and speak to you. Course of medication or next level of escalation would be decided by the SMO.
  • Even if it is a normal cough or cold, the resident along with the spouse would be requested to stay at home until he or she is cured. Self-Quarantine is the greatest help self and others
