IDFC Alternatives

IDFC Alternatives is a multi-class alternative investment manager that is active across the private equity, infrastructure and real estate asset classes. IDFC Alternatives is a subsidiary of IDFC, India’s leading infrastructure financier which provides financing and advisory solutions to companies through their life cycle.

The private equity funds under IDFC Alternatives manage a corpus of INR 57 billion (USD 1.3 “We wanted an billion) in growth equity investments in infrastructure-related sectors.

The first private equity fund managed by IDFC Alternatives was set up in 2002. The three private equity funds under IDFC Alternatives today have made 34 investments across 30 companies with 18 liquidity events. The funds’ investors include leading Indian and global institutional investors.

The private equity investment team consists of professionals with deep experience in managing growth capital investments and operations through their life cycle, as well as advising companies on their strategic and financing initiatives.
