GENERAL GUIDELINES AGAINST SPREAD OF COVID -19

  • Do go for walks inside the RC or the Township or the apartment complex.  Maintain physical distance (one meter) and avoid conversation in a group. While conversing maintain physical distance. If you get cough or got to sneeze, do so with a hankie carried by you or by covering your mouth with your forearm. Do not touch your face. If you have to touch your face, use hand sanitizer which you must carry with you
  • Clean your mobile phones and laptops with alcohol based sanitizers ( a few drops in the front and rear and wipe it with a soft cloth that  use for your spectacles ( please keep separate soft cloth) at least twice a day and use Blue Tooth based ear phones which would avoid bringing your mobile phone close to your face. Try not to use the mobiles in public places.
  • Housekeeping will be on reduced scale. Try and avoid any contact with the staff.

Housing Keeping (HK) and FB Supervisors: To brief their team members and this should include:

  1. Personal hygiene
  2. Wash hands with own soap supplied by the Company every time you enter a house and come out (HK Staff).
  3. Other staff (Plumbers or electricians) to use Hand Sanitizer before and after entering any dwelling (Sanitizers supplied by Company)
  4. During morning briefing when staff reports for work, find out if any family member or anyone in their neighbourhood has any of the signs of COVID – 19. That staff will not be allowed in the RC. Inform RM for action.
  5. Physical Distancing – while having tea and meals, to sit at least one meter (3 feet) away from each other
  6. HK Supervisor would visit every resident after the HK Staff has completed the work and converse with the residents for a few minutes and remove any feeling of isolation.
  • Explaining the importance of usage of technology to seniors & access to care givers who can help seniors with technology should be mandatory part of any senior living facility.
  • Staff will be briefed on precautions that they need to take in their homes and outside
  1. RMs should be prepared for some staff imbalance and with the help of residents, look for solutions.
  2. Housekeeping Work:
    1. Clean floor of the dwelling with few drops of Dettol added to the water.
    1. Remember to use disinfectant in toilets and bathrooms

Like you check medical file and medicine intake by the resident, check if they have Hand Sanitizers with them and if not order through the RM and arrange for the same (RMs and RHMs must check this in every dwelling)
